How did we crawl that last bit? It's the cheques that have been coming in the post: fantastically generous donations from the Schindlers, Francesca Simon and her husband Martin, Guardian readers who don't know me, but sent their money in via the newspaper, and all the people who opened their wallets to Dr Ostler at Joseph's Bookstore the other night. Not to mention Marganit's friends - Sophie, Georgia and co - who stood in the rain on Purim and collected their hearts out.
And then late last night fellow walkee-to-school Liz Masters worked out how much was needed to take the total to 25k and she added it online.
So, Kas and Kevin, this message is for you: you're doubling your donations today - we've reached the first quarter.
This is a real achievement, I think. We're building a place that will help.
